Nicole kicked me out after a little while last night. She's up to her ears in reading and sundry assignments. Apparently she's developed an appreciation for Shakespeare, which is more than I ever did. I might be seeing her tonight, post-jujutsu. She's asked me, in the future, to hang out with Chad while she's at work. This smelled a bit like a "Mia Wallace" kind of job, so I assured her I wouldn't have sex with Chad. Always good to clarify these things.
Eric was kind enough to let me use his printer last night; thus, I was saved from a long walk out to the math lab and back. I set him up with Direct Connect and such. He and Erica were still both sick, and just wanted to go to sleep. I knew that, I just was exploding with, err, sociability, I guess. Just wanted to be around people, which is odd for me. Perhaps the hotness had something to do with it. If it were another time, and another place, I'd shag the both of 'em.
And... back to reality. I've finally gotten assignments in both my Compilers and Numerical Methods classes. Yes, this means I have work to do, but it's kind of reassuring also. I haven't really bought books, and I don't know how good my notes are. At least now I'll have some idea as to whether or not I'm bombing the classes. Besides, the Numerical Methods lab looks pretty interesting. I knew there'd be a reason for me taking this class!
I wonder how much of a return to duty I'll be doing tonight at jujutsu. My gi is getting shinier every time I wash it; I wish I'd known about this "color-safe bleach" thing earlier. Chris is working on technique; mostly I'm watching the beginners roll and feeling left out. Isn't it stupidly ironic that last class was the first time I'd really enjoyed distance fighting this semester? Maybe I should break more toes. |
