insomnia. [Apr. 1st, 2002|03:19 am]
I've stayed up far too long propositioning Rek and Katie. It was bidirectional, though, which was good. I shall have to schedule myself quite carefully around Beltane. Must make enough time for everybody. Probably should talk about this with Lee, too.

The university has just bandwidth-limited me. Apparently they're confused about the difference between 5GB and 5,000,000,000 bytes. Hopefully my lawyerish wrangling will convince them of the difference. If not, it'll be a very, very... slow... week.

Time for bed. Time also to stop before I eat the entire box of matzo my father gave me. (At least I'm set with carbs for the week.) Sleep, now.

pointless postin'. [Apr. 1st, 2002|06:28 pm]
[music |Deftones/Passenger]

While I wait for "The Zeppo" to transfer over to this machine, I think I'll post.

Brett will be over in forty-five minutes or so. I have a dozen signals problems to do tonight, but I won't start on them for a bit yet. This is the danger of starting to do well in a class---fear is the only thing that motivates me at this point, and I don't fear signals. Oh well.

I remembered a dream this morning, while snoozing through the first ten minutes of probability. By the time I got out the door, I forgot most of it. I do remember that I was sailing through a city where the buildings kept getting more and more tilted. Some of them were even entirely sideways, but that didn't stop people from putting library shelving in them and filling them with books, even if the 'floor' was just some windows. The buildings were brightly-colored skyscrapers, in good repair.

There was, of course, a reason I was floating through the city, but it's once again been forgotten. Foo.

I was going to take a nap or start on signals today, Instead, I spent the whole afternoon working on the new machine in Kevin's office. At least there was a point to all my mucking about, but I sure could have used that nap. Curse the lure of the sweet, sweet hardware. Mmm, dual-processor.

Well, that passed the time until my ep got here. Time to zone out and hope no one cares when I watch Buffy here.
