| jujutsu begins again. |

I'm cold, still.
It appears that I have two full-entire physics assignments to do tonight. Whee. Ah, procrastination and sleep deprivation, how I missed you.
I really wanted to write my own summary of the tragic tale of Oliver Heaviside, who, like too many others, was too smart for the world he lived in, and went pretty loopy before dying an unhappy, forgotten death. Later, I suppose.
I went back to jujutsu tonight. I took a lot of hits, bumps and bruises. Those that I can remember... Chris was trying to knee-kick me in the belly, but hit me square in the groin. No damage was done (yay technology), but I was quite shaken. Chris dropped me on my head. I took a bad breakfall and did something weird to my right hip-joint. I have these uber-manly things that look like scars on my face.
Despite all this, and despite that I haven't gone there in two weeks, Sensei said that he was happy with my progress. We did close-quarter, and I think he was impressed that I managed to jump out of the way of nearly all of his sweeps, throws and locks. I still feel terribly achy.
I explained, in sorta-broad terms, to Chris and Katie, my vacation. I suppose I've underestimated how honest I come across as, since I didn't get a single "no, I don't believe you". Chris did ask if I'd had sex with two girls on the same day. Heh. See, I just have to learn to translate all this into vanilla terms.
Then I walked Katie to her dorm, then Chris to his, in an effort to procrastinate. It had been raining. It rained more. Then it rained more. Then the fucking sky flew open and fired a sustained flurry of not-quite-frozen missiles of angry angry water at me. Hence, all of my clothing is sitting on the radiator, which can't hope to accommodate even a bit of it. I fear that mildew may set in, as I have no bucks on my laundry card. Blah.
I suppose it's just about time for me to actually start in on that accursed work. Feh. And that programming assignment I got to postpone is, of course, looming as well. At least nothing else has been assigned for that. Too bad I can't see where in my schedule I can actually go work on it.
Hmm. Writing about schoolwork (or Oliver Heaviside) is definitely easier than working. But I must press on. Feh. |
